Dr. Kimberly Waltmon is a seasoned educator and leader with nearly two decades of experience in Leander ISD. She began her career as a special education teacher, later serving as a middle school assistant principal and both elementary and secondary principal. In 2020, she became the Executive Director of LISD’s Special Programs and Services, and in 2023, she transitioned to Assistant Superintendent, overseeing Special Programs and Services as well as State and Federal Programs.
Dr. Waltmon holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas State University. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in the Cooperative Superintendency Program.
A passionate and dedicated leader, Dr. Waltmon's commitment to leadership development is a driving force in her career. She believes strongly in the power of leadership to inspire change and actively works to empower others by providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
